Technology for the Young
Child
The iPad
(This is from a presentation at Parent Night at Brainerd Baptist School given on November 17, 2011)
Students today are
called “digital natives”. This
means that they have never known a time when technology (the internet,
computers, cell phones) did not exist and impact their lives in some way. They are naturals with technology and
were practically born with an electronic device in their hands. Since technology is natural to them, we
can use it to help them learn! One
of the ways we do this is with the iPad!
